First, apologies that you are receiving this “official” notice so late. While the date for the annual Predicted Log and Shrimp Boil was published/communicated earlier this season, this is the first you’ll see the registration – unless you visit our website.
Second, here are the details:
Who: HVSPS Members and Friends
What: Predicted Log, Poker Run and Shrimp Boil
When: Saturday, August 16
Where: Bay Point Park, Red Wing (boat ramp pavilion)
Why: Camaraderie
Predicted Log:
¨ Calculate & submit your estimated running time to complete a pre-determined course on the Mississippi River
¨ Run the course any time from submitting time until 1630
¨ Courses will be outlined for both large and small vessels
¨ $8.00 Registration Fee covers awards
Predicted Log Primer:
¨ How-to and tips for First-Timers
¨ No fee
Poker Run:
¨ Collect five cards at designated locations; highest hand at standard 5-card stud wins
¨ Three distribution points will be accessible by water or land (i.e. Harbor Bar, Levee Park, Red Wing Marina)
¨ Details to be provided on day of event
¨ $10.00 Registration Fee covers pay-out – 50% of collected fees to winner, 50% to Squadron

0930 Predicted Log Primer (how-to for First-Timers, Refresher for Anyone)
1100 Captain’s Meeting for those running the Log
1100 Poker Run Details & late registration
1430 – 1600 Poker Run
1630 Gather for Shrimp Boil Shrimp Boil (BYOB)
